Far West Side gas station’s door smashed in burglary

Officers were sent to the hotel in the 5000 block of Eastpark Boulevard around 11:15 a.m. on Sunday.

Multiple callers reported hearing gun shots around 7:50 p.m. in the area of Mesta Lane and Commercial Avenue, Madison police said.

The man was arrested when he returned to the area the next night and police were called.

Officers eventually persuaded her to walk away from the parking enforcement officer's vehicle.

Officers were sent to the area of Whitney Way and Mineral Point Road around 2:15 a.m. after a car crashed into a street sign. 

The suspect, a 32-year-old woman, was found nearby with some of the stolen items and arrested.

People who live in the neighborhood were able to direct police to the child's home, Madison police said.

No injuries were reported in the crash in the 600 block of East Johnson Street around 8:10 a.m. Friday.

The crash happened about 9:15 p.m. at South Park Street and Cedar Street. 

Police issued a reminder to never leave valuables in vehicles, especially if they can be seen from outside the vehicle.
