A toddler was inside a vehicle when a man was arrested for OWI early Monday, Madison police reported.
Officers pulled a vehicle over around 12:30 a.m. Monday in the area of East Johnson Street and North Lawn Avenue, police spokesperson Stephanie Fryer said in a statement.
Darrell Jackson, 33, was arrested for first-offense OWI with a passenger under 16, Fryer said.
The toddler was left in the care of a family member, Fryer said.
A passenger in the car, Rodney Lee, 35, was arrested on a tentative charge of obstructing and taken to the Dane County Jail on a Department of Corrections warrant, Fryer said.
