Thirty-five people were arrested and more than 100 were ejected from the Ohio State game, but Saturday night's celebratory rush onto the field at Camp Randall Stadium following the Badgers' 31-18 victory resulted in only one minor injury, UW Police said.
As students poured down the bleachers from the top of sections M, N, O and P before the end of the game, fans in the first 20 rows were pushed against the railing that separates the stands from the field. But police helped fans over the fence, averting any serious problems, officials said.
Police said they issued 37 citations, including 35 arrests, most for underage drinking. Twenty-two of the arrests involved UW-Madison students. Another 113 people were ejected from the game for violations that included possession of alcohol, fighting and throwing objects. Of those ejected, 46 were UW students.
