GREEN BAY — Xavier McKinney kept the receipts, and the Green Bay Packers’ star safety sounds like he’s ready to hand-deliver them to Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore on Sunday at Soldier Field.
During a conversation about the Packers-Bears rivalry in the Packers’ locker room at Lambeau Field after practice on Wednesday, McKinney offered up — unprompted — his recollection of Moore appearing on “Up & Adams” and scoffing at the Packers’ signing of McKinney and the Detroit Lions’ addition of a pair of cornerbacks in the draft.
Now, with the Packers and Bears set to face off for the first time this season on Sunday, McKinney has a clear memory of what he saw as disrespect from Moore.
“There’s a clip somewhere out there where D.J. Moore said something about … they were asking him about the Packers getting me and he was like, ‘Who?’” McKinney said, slightly misquoting Moore. “All that stuff, that’s in my memory bank. And I work accordingly.”
Asked if he thinks Moore knows him now, given that McKinney is tied for the NFL lead in interceptions with six, McKinney replied, “I hope so. But I don’t give a damn about what he knows.”
McKiney also brought up the way Moore left the field in the middle of a play during the Bears’ Nov. 3 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, when rookie quarterback Caleb Williams was under pressure from the Arizona pass rush.
“This dude walked out on (his quarterback). I’ve been playing football for five years now and I’ve been watching football for longer than that, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a (player do that),” McKinney said.
“You’re supposed to be ‘The Guy,’ and you’re just walking off the field? You’re walking off the field on a rookie quarterback that you’ve been praising. (But) that’s a whole other story.”
Lloyd back at practice
The Packers opened the 21-day practice window for running back MarShawn Lloyd, the rookie third-round pick who went on injured reserve in early September and has been battling a myriad of injuries dating back to training camp.
Lloyd, who has missed time with hip, hamstring and ankle injuries, went on IR after the Sept. 6 opener against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil and has just six carries for 15 yards on the season.
Lloyd was considered a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice and would have to be added to the 53-man roster by Saturday afternoon to play against the Bears. The Packers have an open roster spot after trading defensive end Preston Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week.
With Lloyd out, both Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks have played well behind starter Josh Jacobs.
“Obviously he’s got a skill set that we really liked, and (has) ability to do some things out of the backfield as well as in the backfield,” Packers coach Matt LaFleur said. “We’re just going to take it one day at a time with him, and if he can contribute, great. If not, then obviously we’ve got a lot of confidence in those other guys.”
Injury report
The Packers came off their bye week in good health, as only one player — defensive lineman Colby Wooden (shoulder) — did not practice.
Safety Evan Williams (hamstring), center Josh Myers (wrist) and cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) all practiced on a limited basis after missing the Packers’ Nov. 3 pre-bye loss to the Detroit Lions, while defensive tackle Kenny Clark (toe) and Jacobs (quadriceps) were also limited.
Quarterback Jordan Love (groin) and defensive end Kingsley Enagbare (elbow) both practiced in full.
Daylight savings, schmavings
LaFleur moved up the Packers’ daily schedule and also altered the practice format as the team returned to work.
Not only did LaFleur want to end the workday earlier because of how early it gets dark — “I’m not a big fan of the whole daylight savings (thing),” LaFleur said — but he had the players do less scout-team work where they run the upcoming opponent’s plays off cards.
Instead, LaFleur wanted more competitive periods — an approach he took during the second half of last season, when the Packers won six of their final eight games.
“You try to get them out of the building a little bit earlier (because) it does affect your body (with) how dark it gets here,” LaFleur said.
“I think changing it up is good for our guys.”

Packers safety Xavier McKinney has six interceptions on the season, including one on a pass intended for former Green Bay running back Aaron Jones, right, during the second half of the Packers' loss to the rival Vikings on Sept. 29 at Lambeau Field.
Packers rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd has carried the ball six times for 15 yards and caught one pass for 3 yards, all coming in a victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 15 in Green Bay.
